Borr was the King of the kennel, ruler of the roost. He was polite and quiet and always the gentleman. Borr was our first male and will always be first in our eyes. The Norrbottenspets' breed should be proud to be able to call Borr, one of its own. Borr will always be missed.
Sweet, sweet Maya. Maya was our pride and joy. We knew we had to keep her from the minute she was born. No one has a kinder disposition than Maya. She loves everyone and everyone loves her. Maya knows no stranger and with her petite' size and friendly personality, she has been kind enough to bestow these traits onto her offspring.
Mooney is the mother of sweet Maya and it is from Mooney that Maya received her wonderful temperament. If we could only clone this quality there would never again be any unwanted dogs in this world. Mooney is the best of best mommies. She is happiest when she has a litter of puppies to take care of.
Quiet, kind, sweet Echo. She always waits her turn, whether to be petted, take a treat or eat her dinner. Echo loves lying on the couch with her head in our lap. With a beautiful stack and a strong square body, Echo would love to wow them in the show ring if only she could find some time between the squirrels and the birds.
Sigmund is the gentleman through and through. He has won a best of breed and group second in his very limited showing. Sigmund is the peace maker and with his beautiful gate and fantastic tail set he is providing a positive influence to the desired Norrbottenspets' characteristics.
Dreamer is full of life and full of fun. He loves to go on long walks and sit in your lap. He is a lot of dog in a fine tuned body. Dreamer's outgoing personality has added much confidence to this family oriented breed.
Katy was raised by our daughter and son-in-law for the first few years of her life, but came to live with us when they moved into town. Katy is a country girl and is our No. 1 bird dog. No Norrbotten is more athlectic than Katy. She can still run circles around the younger dogs. Playing on the hillside and making sure no critters are out of place is Katy's reason for being put on this earth.
Lucy and her sister Echo came to us as 1 1/2 year old girls. Where Echo felt at home in less than a day, it took Lucy a bit to feel comfortable in her new home. Lucy always stayed back and waited for the others before coming forward to claim her dinner. It may have taken Lucy awhile to adjust, but once she did, she joined in fully, knowing she had found her forever home. Our son, Cory, is Lucy's idol. She is always there with a toy in her mouth and tail wagging, waiting for her pat on her head or rub on her back. It doesn't matter that Lucy was never meant to be a mommy; she has given us so much joy in her zest for life.
Georg was the cutest little puppy you will ever see. Even though at birth, he was as big as a moose (for a Norrbottenspets' puppy) he opted to do all his growing early on and decided to stay a little boy, husky, but not too tall. Georg reminds us of a teddy bear. Like his mother, Katy, he is always ready for a wrestling match and is everybody's friend. While the other Nobs run to jump into whatever vehicle we decide to travel in, Georg patiently waits to be lifted into the seat. You might say that he is royally spoiled.
